Tetsujiro Soma, a samurai from the Kamakura era who survived the Mongol Invasions of Japan, suddenly finds himself in an unfamiliar place. A mysterious girl named Hrist tells him that he is in Valhalla—a hall where the souls of fallen warriors gather.
