Although the story was later redrawn to emphasize its horror elements and published in a magazine, this is the original version. It has been reprinted in a complete edition—including the color pages—for the first time. In addition to an interview with the author, the volume features commentary by Inuhiko Yomota and Kazuhiro Souda.
